Privacy Policy

Effective Date: February 9, 2026 · Last Updated: February 9, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Double You (“the App”), a dual camera recording application for iOS developed by PRSMTECH (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience using our App.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. Double You is designed with privacy as a core principle — the vast majority of data never leaves your device.

By downloading, installing, or using Double You, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

Double You is built to be privacy-friendly. We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide and maintain the App’s core functionality.

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your email address for authentication and account management purposes.

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect, upload, or transmit your photos or videos to any external server. All media is saved exclusively to your device’s Photos library.
  • We do not collect location data, GPS coordinates, or geolocation information.
  • We do not access your contacts, calendars, health data, or any other personal data beyond what is described in this policy.
  • We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.
  • We do not serve third-party advertisements.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

Automatic Information

If you opt in to Apple’s standard crash reporting system (via iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share anonymized crash logs and diagnostics with us through App Store Connect. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

3. How We Use Your Information

The limited information we collect is used solely for the following purposes:

  • Account Management: Your email address is used to create and manage your account, enable authentication, and communicate important account-related notices (such as password resets or security alerts).
  • App Improvement: Aggregated, anonymized crash data (provided through Apple’s standard opt-in system) helps us identify and fix bugs to improve the App’s stability and performance.
  • Customer Support: If you contact us for support, we use the information you provide to respond to your inquiries.

4. Camera and Microphone Access

Double You requires access to your device’s cameras (front and rear) and microphone. This access is essential to the App’s core functionality — simultaneous dual-camera recording with audio.

  • Camera: Used to capture photos and video from both the front-facing and rear-facing cameras simultaneously. Camera data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to external servers.
  • Microphone: Used to record audio alongside your video captures. Audio data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to external servers.

You can revoke camera and microphone access at any time through your device’s Settings > Privacy & Security. Please note that revoking these permissions will prevent the App from performing its core recording functionality.

5. Photo Library Access

Double You requires access to your Photo Library in order to save captured photos and videos to your device.

  • Photos and videos you capture are saved directly to your device’s Photos library. They are not uploaded to any cloud service, external server, or third-party platform by the App.
  • We do not read, scan, analyze, or access any existing photos or videos in your library beyond what is necessary for the save operation.

You can manage Photo Library access at any time through your device’s Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos.

6. Account Information

If you choose to create an account, Double You uses Supabase Auth for authentication. The following applies:

  • Your email address is collected and stored securely by Supabase for the purpose of account creation, authentication, and account recovery.
  • Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plain text.
  • We do not use your email address for marketing, newsletters, or promotional communications unless you explicitly opt in.

7. Data Storage and Security

We take the security of your information seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures:

  • On-Device Storage: All photos, videos, and media created with Double You are stored exclusively on your device. We do not have access to this content.
  • Account Data: Account information (email address) is stored securely by Supabase using encrypted databases, secure authentication protocols, and industry-standard security practices.
  • Data Transmission: Any communication between the App and our authentication service is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security).

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to following best practices.

8. Third-Party Services

Double You uses the following third-party service:

  • Supabase: Provides authentication and account management services. Supabase processes your email address and authentication credentials in accordance with their own privacy policy, which can be found at https://supabase.com/privacy.

We do not integrate any of the following:

  • Third-party analytics or tracking SDKs
  • Third-party advertising networks
  • Social media tracking pixels
  • Data brokers or data aggregation services

9. Children’s Privacy

Double You is rated 4+ on the Apple App Store and is designed to be suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).

Since the App stores all media exclusively on the device and collects only an email address for optional account creation, the risk of inadvertent data collection from children is minimal. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@doubleyoucam.com and we will promptly delete the information.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Media (Photos & Videos): All media is stored locally on your device. You have full control over this content and can delete it at any time through the Photos app. Uninstalling Double You does not delete photos or videos already saved to your Photos library.
  • Account Data: Your account information is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@doubleyoucam.com. Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will delete your account data within 30 days.
  • Crash Reports: Anonymized crash data received through Apple’s system is retained only for as long as necessary to diagnose and fix issues, and is automatically purged by Apple according to their retention policies.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to Correction: You can request that we correct any inaccurate information.
  • Right to Deletion: You can request that we delete your account and associated personal data.
  • Right to Data Portability: You can request your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw your consent for data processing at any time by deleting your account.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You can request that we limit the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@doubleyoucam.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

California Residents (CCPA): We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion.

European Residents (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing your email address is your consent (provided when creating an account) and our legitimate interest in providing the service. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
  • Notify you through the App or via email if the changes are significant.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
